This position assumes administrative responsibility for Respiratory Care Services programs and staff. Assumes responsibility for financial oversight, positive customer relations, performance management, process improvement, planning and directing staff members. Collaborates with leaders on performance standards, systems, and processes to optimize care excellence in an efficient, effective manner while supporting the mission, vision and values of Phoenix Children’s.
Education
1.Bachelor`s in Respiratory Therapy Care or related field (Required)
2.Master`s degree in related field. (Preferred)
Experience
1.Five years of experience in the specialty area or with a pediatric patient population to include leadership and / or supervisory responsibilities. (Required)
Certifications
1.Current State of AZ Respiratory Care Practitioner license or the ability to establish licensure to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
2.Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to establish prior to start date (Required)
3.Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by National Board of Respiratory Care or ability to obtain prior to start date (Required)
4.PALS certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. (Preferred)
5.American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership (Preferred)
6.Current Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty credential (NPS) by National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Preferred)
Special Skills
1.Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets. (Required)
3.Must be able to assume 24-hour accountability for unit coverage. (Required)
