The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for the credentialing and re-credentialing of all Physicians Group of Texas (PGT) contracted physicians, ancillary providers, and hospitals. The functions include but are not limited to initial and re-credentialing tracking of all applications, primary source verifications, file production and maintenance, presentation at Credentialing Committee, and internal and external communication of outcome reporting. This position will also work with delegated entities on initial assessments, onsite audits, corrective action plans, and submission of monthly reports.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
2-3 years of credentialing experience with a health plan, physician group, or hospital.
Demonstrated knowledge of CMS, TDI, and NCQA criteria for credentialing and delegation.
Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations and process improvement methodology
