Position Summary: The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for performing staffing functions; assuring adequate staffing levels are maintained in department on all shifts daily, and for tracking and maintaining credentials and departmental data associated with staffing. This clerical position works under limited supervision and requires strong organizational and planning skills, decision making within the scope of the positions responsibilities, and the use of discretion and good judgment. Decisions beyond the scope of responsibilities require the review and approval of the appropriate Clinical Director. Internal contacts are basically with Department Managers and Supervisors (or House Supervisors, for Nursing units) but may include routine interaction with patient care staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts are limited but may include agency personnel.
Minimum Requirements: One year secretarial/staffing experience preferred Five years experience in the use computer software applications, desirable
