Meritas Health is hiring a Manager of Physician Recruitment and Retention to join our Corporate Office Team! Under the direction of leadership, the Manager, Physician Recruitment and Retention is responsible for implementation and on-going oversight of Meritas Health's physician and advanced practice provider (APP) recruitment/onboarding/retention strategies that support the organization's efforts to achieve its strategic plan, as well as managing a team of Physician Liaisons who focus on physician engagement and promotion of healthcare services. The position oversees all phases of provider recruitment while maintaining working relationships with physicians, leaders and executives. What does a typical day on the job look like? Meets physician/APP recruitment goals of the organization. Participates at all levels of recruitment of physicians and providers for Meritas Health, which includes the entire process from marketing, screening, interviewing, travel/agenda planning, site visits, compensation/benefits offer, contract negotiations and closing components involved in making physician/APP hires. Ensures physicians are reimbursed for expenses related to licensure or other approved expenses related to hiring (signing bonus, relocation, house hunting, etc). Manages the process of utilizing outside recruitment firms, when needed. Manages onboarding and retention efforts for all members of the NKCH medical staff. Develops strategic initiatives for physician and APP recruitment and retention. Works closely with executive leadership and physicians to develop criteria and implement processes for selection, recruitment and staffing of physicians and APPs. Develops strategy and provides oversight to increase utilization of hospital services through physician onboarding and retention infrastructure. Manages communication and outreach and ensures physician liaisons regularly visit and communicate with physicians and their office staff to improve provider satisfaction with NKCH, facilitating physician introductions that help build relationships, encourage utilization, and remove barriers for seamless admission and referral processes. Manages and provides oversight of physician and provider onboarding program with physician liaisons, medical staff department, EMR liaisons, human resources and credentialing specialist to provide effective and timely on-boarding to new providers (employed and independent). Participates in talent life cycle management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring, development, engagement, retention, performance management and time keeping. Conducts professional reference checking on candidates and communicates results to leadership and the hiring group in a timely manner. Communicates risk management concerns, if any, to leadership and general counsel. What are the requirements for the job? Bachelor's Degree in business, health care, or related field 5 years' experience in physician recruiting, marketing and business development, preferred Certified Fellow of AAPPR (FASPR), preferred Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and listening skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and drive results with short time frames. Uses discretion, sound judgment and flexibility in varying situations.
