The role you’ll contribute: Hospitalist Operations Manager
The Hospitalist Operations Manager is responsible for the overall administrative operational support of the hospitalist programs. Provides leadership support to hospitalist providers and billing staff utilizing the tools that have been provided for revenue cycle optimization. Supports on-boarding activities including coordination/training on charge capture, coding optimization, and quality metrics. Works in collaboration with Florida Hospital support departments in order to meet the needs of the hospitalist program to maintain efficient operations. Position requires a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment, and follow-through on a wide range of issues.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Coordinates the day-to-day administrative (non-clinical) operations of the hospitalist program to fulfill the commitments outlined in the Agreements between Pioneer Medical Group (PMG) and each Florida Hospital.
- Works to create an environment of efficient revenue cycle optimization in cooperation with the appropriate support systems to provide timely and accurate information as needed.
- Responsible for coordination of established credentialing procedures in conjunction with the physician group credentialing team and hospital medical staff offices.
- Holds hospitalist providers accountable (in collaboration with PMG CMO’s) to accuracy and timeliness of charge entry and documentation.
- Reviews and evaluates the financial performance as it relates to revenue cycle optimization of regional hospitalist group and provides relevant information to Hospital and Physician Group Leadership. This may also include calculating specific quality metrics and managing census-to-physician ratios set by Agreements.

Minimum qualifications:
- Advanced healthcare degree, certifications and industry knowledge.
- Ability to effectively manage employees.
- Able to construct and analyze financial and other reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to be self-directed, and a self-starter.
- Professional demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage, train, explain, support, and follow recommended processes.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Highly strategic, creative, and process oriented.
- Functions well in a matrix organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management or Healthcare related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in management related to healthcare operations in a group practice environment.
- Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems with the ability to direct workflow in order to optimize operations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s in Health Care Administration (MHA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
