Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Credentialing Specialist to work in Newton NJ, 3 times per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm. No weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Function:
- The Credentialing Specialist ensures that all credentialed providers have the appropriate training, licensing, malpractice etc.
- Assist in the processing of reappointments for providers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and Joint Commission requirements.
- Monitoring and maintaining licenses and other expirables in physician files.
- Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Enter On Call Schedules
- Attend department meetings and record minutes
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and mange multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to research and anlyze data
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Organized, process driven, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are the keys to being successful in this role
- Must work well in a team environment
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Education:
- Associate Degree Preferred
Relevant Experience:
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
