Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Credentialing Specialist to work in Newton NJ, 3 times per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm. No weekends.

Essential Job Function:

• The Credentialing Specialist ensures that all credentialed providers have the appropriate training, licensing, malpractice etc.
• Assist in the processing of reappointments for providers.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and Joint Commission requirements.
• Monitoring and maintaining licenses and other expirables in physician files.
• Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Enter On Call Schedules
• Attend department meetings and record minutes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to research and anlyze data
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Organized, process driven, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are the keys to being successful in this role
• Must work well in a team environment

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Education:

• Associate Degree Preferred

Relevant Experience:

• Excellent computer skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
