Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom is the community hospital serving the Sierra foothills communities of Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs and Rescue. With 106 licensed acute-care beds, and a physician staff of nearly 500, our accredited, non-profit hospital has been providing exceptional care for more than 35 years. Mercy Hospital of Folsom provides surgical services including minimally-invasive general, urological and gynecological surgeries. Additionally, Mercy Hospital of Folsom provides comprehensive and award-winning orthopedic services, which include surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and specialty orthopedic care. Mercy Hospital of Folsom, a member of Dignity Health, is currently looking for a Medical Staff Coordinator to add to their hospital staff.   Under the direction of the Director/ Manager of Medical Staff Services and in adherence to the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health is responsible for coordination and preparation of medical staff functions, prepares for committee meetings, takes minutes, processes and distributes appropriate correspondence.  The Coordinator, in conjunction with the Central Verification (CVU) assists with implementation of the credentialing/ privileging process. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations and Hospital policies/ procedures. Coordinator shall maintain a working knowledge of accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e. TJC, NCQA, CMS, Title XXII) in regards to credentialing/ medical staff services. In conjunction with the CVU ensures that all expirables are obtained and managed on a monthly basis according to the rules and policies. Coordinator shall maintain the confidentiality of all business/ work/ medical staff information. Assists in managing the flow of information between the MSS Team, GSSA Credentials Committee, MEC, and the Medical Staff Leadership.

Three (3) years experience as a Medical Staff or Credentialing Coordinator experience with executive administrative support in a hospital or other medical environment preferred.

High school graduation or equivalent some college preferred. 

Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Certified Professional Credentialling Specialist (CPCS) preferred.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm (some evenings required)
