COORS Leadership Capital has been retained by our client, Augusta Health, in Central Virginia to identify an exceptional candidate to assume the role of Medical Staff Credentialing Manager for a rapidly growing community-based health system .
The Medical Staff Credentialing Manager will be responsible for development, coordination, and oversight of the Medical Staff Services Department, including physician and allied health credentialing and recredentialing, meeting management, medical staff complaints, and the flow of information from medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board.
This physician-oriented individual will collaborate closely with Medical Staff President, CMO and legal counsel with regard to all issues encompassing medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations.
The exceptionally qualified candidate will coordinate and lead Joint Commission Survey preparation for the medical staff, including medical staff education regarding accreditation standards. During Joint Commission Accreditation Survey, they will be responsible for coordination of all privilege and credentialing activities and sessions with physician surveyors.
This individual will have the privilege to lead and direct work of Medical Staff Service team members.

Required Experience and Background:
Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Health related field, Master’s Degree in Business or Health related field preferred.
2 years of relevant work experience.
Previous experience in a Medical Staff Administrative position required. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.
CMSC and/or CPCS Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services required, or obtained within two years.
Affiliation with the National Association Medical Staff Services and the State Association Medical Staff Services strongly encouraged.
