Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a new Chair for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Chair will be responsible for leading all teaching and research activities within the Department, including medical students and graduate medical educational programs. The Chair will have proven administrative and leadership acumen to create and implement a strategic vision for the Department’s continued success and growth.
The successful physician candidate should have a track record for successful clinical, academic and administrative leadership as a Department Chair, Division Chief or Section Head. Interested candidates should have experience and interest in growth strategies and the distributed academic model at a Top Tier Academic Medical Center.

Candidate credentials to include:
Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and/ or added qualifications and boards in a subspecialty area
Anticipated qualifications for academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level
Keen understanding for developing and leading ACGME accredited residency and fellowship programs
Previous experience in healthcare quality, resource management, outcomes improvement, patient safety, staff engagement and positive patient experience
Political savvy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to interact within all levels of system level management
