Process initial and re-appointment applications for completeness and accuracy.
Initiates and maintains contact with applicants and/or their designee throughout the credentialing process to provide updated application status and to elicit possible assistance as needed to meet established targets.
Data enter credentialing documentation and forms for initial and re-appointment applications.
Responsible for maintaining credentialing software with appointment/reappointment elements.
Maintain an organized electronic credential file for each provider.
Tracking of documentation.
Provide assistance to providers, hospital medical staff, fellow credentialing team members, and clinical/operational leaders.
Facilitate and track the escalation of outstanding expirables and communicates with both providers and hospital medical staff to ensure licenses and privileges are current.
Monitor credentialing files for accuracy.
Maintain knowledge of the Credentialing Department’s policies/procedures, regulatory standards, and state and federal laws.
Assist with special projects/assignments related to credentialing and re-credentialing.
Interact effectively with various interoffice personnel to assure the credentialing process/timeline are maintained.
