Then you are walking into an office with a top-notch Medical Staff Manager that keeps everything in-line. Our Medical Staff Office needs an organized manager. Do you have what it takes?

Coordinate and perform initial application and reappointment credentialing and privileging activities to assure only qualified physicians and allied health professionals provide patient care in accordance with legal and accreditation requirements.
Coordinate orientation of new department employees as well as newly appointed medical staff and department chairs, as required.
Coordinate the credentialing process of residency programs with the Education Department, as required.
Coordinate the review and revision of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies to reflect current practice and to provide protection from risk when possible, as required.
Serve as a resource for interpretation and adherence to the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
Collect and report OPPE, FPPE, and assist with peer review, as required.
Develop and manage policies, bylaws, credentialing criteria and clinical privileging form.
Develop, implement, and manage policies and a budget, ensuring cost control and expenses are in alignment with budget and medical staff fund.
Follow up with details of scheduled events and maintain appropriate personnel apprised of status and progress of such events.
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve concerns of customers and keep the next level of management informed of significant developments.
Maintain accurate computerized database of physicians and allied health professional information to provide reports as requested.
Make decisions for direct reports and perform people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.
Manage current and accurate Medical Staff files that meet accreditation standards and legal requirements through continuous monitoring of Medical Staff leaves of absence, licensure, insurance, and CME data.
Organize and coordinate executive medical staff committees as well as agendas and documentation reported, as required.
Oversee and maintain a database containing personal and professional physician information.
Oversee and monitor preparation for HFAP/ISDH/ CMS Surveys.
Oversee continuing medical education programs.
A minimum of 5 years prior experience with managing a medical staff office in a hospital or in a related field.
Budget management skills.
Lead and coach others.
Manage conflict and tactfully handle complaints and difficult situations.
Customer service skills.
Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Supervisory and team leadership skills, including coaching, engaging and developing employees.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
