The Manager of Credentialing Operation will primarily be responsible for the oversight and management of the organizations credentialing and privileging process for all licensed physicians and other certified/licensed clinical providers such as Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Psychologists. They will ensure that all aspects of the credentialing and/or privileging process is completed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all regulatory and policy requirements.
Manage the credentialing, privileging and re-credentialing process.
Oversees the application process to ensure applications are filed properly, timely and are filled out accurately. Addresses and follows up with physicians or providers to correct inaccurate or missing information.
Primary contact point with credentialing vendor. Responsible for making sure information is accurate and up to date. Coordinates with vendor to meet deadlines and to efficiently handle all credentialing applications.
Monitors credentialing and privileging process, this includes: all documentation, verification, notification and all other steps to ensure timely processing that does not impact operations.
Responsible for all facility credentialing and necessary paperwork that meets regulatory and legal filings for facility operations.
Audits process and vendor. Compiles monthly reports on credentialing and privileging. Assess data and makes necessary changes.
Primary point of contact for external inquires or other facilities seeking credentialing information.
Expert on legal matters revolving around credentialing and privileging. Reports to senior leadership of any changes and adjusts process as necessary.
Other duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Five (5) years or more of credentialing and privileging experience.
At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership role.
Expert verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail. Ability to analyze documentation for accuracy.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment
