GREAT Company looking for a Rock Star Credentialing Specialist to Work from Home!
We currently have an immediate opportunity for a full-time Credentialing Specialist to work from home. Looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual that understands the importance of the Credentialing position to a company. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for behavioral health and primary care providers. Responsible for ensuring staff are credentialed in a timely manner with Medicare, Medicaid and third-party insurance companies. Will maintain current data in credentialing database and spreadsheets to ensure the accuracy of all files by tracking the expiration of licenses and certifications, and ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follow-ups as needed.
Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers in credentialing database and spreadsheets.
Tracks licenses, DEA certificates and professional liability expirations and any other required credentialing document for providers.
Communicates with representatives of MCO’s, LME’s and insurance companies for follow-up of applications and any other identifying issues requiring additional investigation and evaluation.
Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information and provides health plans with up to date information pertaining to providers to avoid billing denials.
Organizes and maintains physical and online provider files.
Maintains confidentiality of all provider information.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the medical credentialing process as it pertains to provider credentialing for behavioral health providers and primary care providers.
Excellent Informational research, organizational, multi-tasking, and follow- up skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Database management skills, which include reporting generation.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the company.

Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification required for this position
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of specific and relevant credentialing experience.
Knowledge and experience with CAQH, Medicare applications, third-party insurance applications, LME/MCO applications and medical database.
Knowledge of health plan contracts is desirable.
