The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a national association located in Pittsburgh, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support specific professional development and educational projects. This grant-supported position is a part-time temporary contract role (20 hours per week, 3-6 months), which may be repeated or extended based on future grants.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support and clerical duties for grant supported projects. As HPNA's Administrative Assistant, you will:
Coordinate routine communications
Schedule meetings, events, and travel arrangements
Archive and track key organizational material
Ensure prompt and appropriate response to external contractors and participants
Provide clerical and administrative support including coordination of communications, meetings, conference calls, and record keeping
Provide liaison to staff, contractors, and volunteer leaders for various grant activities and events
Knowledge of office management skills, equipment, MS Office Suite applications, SharePoint, and other collaborative portals, social media, calendar management skills, including coordination of complex executive meetings
Ability to interact with staff, contractors, and volunteers at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Expert level written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail, able to work alone or as part of a team
Experience in an association environment desired
Associate degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business or communications preferred
