Primary responsibility for processing Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional staff initial and reappointment applications and request for privileges for presentation to the Credentials/Ethics Committee. Maintains ECHO credentialing system and medical/allied health professional credentialing files. Coordinates Medical Staff meetings as assigned and generates agendas and minutes. Generates and updates Emergency Room call schedules. Interacts regularly with physicians and their staff, Administrative and Hospital personnel, patients and visitors.
A minimum of three years credentialing experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Must demonstrate accurate typing skills; outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer programs; ability to compose minutes and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner. Reliable attendance and punctuality necessary. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
