Medical Staff Office Manager West Suburban Medical Center, Oak Park, Illinois
Our award-winning organization seeks a poised, highly organized manager to lead medical staff activities and ensure adherence to relevant requirements of regulatory and accreditation bodies.
What you will do:
Manage credentialing process, ensuring that privilege delineation is handled efficiently and confidentially.
Prepare Credentials Committee agenda, and present credentials files to department chairs for approval.
Ensure that all legal/state/federal agency, state-licensing board and hospital accreditation guidelines/regulations are followed.
Maintain confidential computer database on all medical staff members reflecting current status, licensure, board certification and professional liability insurance and other information relative to credentialing.
Maintain and distribute current medical staff rosters, and make available to departments as appropriate.
Assist with peer review process, ensuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
Maintain financial records and systems concerning dues and expenditures for the medical staff, and prepare monthly/annual statements of the financial position for the Medical Executive Committee.
Prepare agendas and related materials for meetings (general medical staff, departments and committees; attend meetings to take, transcribe and distribute minutes; and maintain official minute books.
Serve as resource person to medical staff relating to all aspects of medical staff organization and functions.
Assist in department budget development; allocate funds to accomplish objectives; and monitor variance.
Work with Quality Department to establish and maintain effective OPPE/FPPE process that meets the needs of the medical staff and complies with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
Collaborate with Business Development and Outreach teams to support physician recruitment and retention strategies and tactics critical to the development, growth and improvement of commitment levels by affiliated physicians with West Suburban Medical Center and Westlake Hospital.
What we expect
At least 5 years of experience in healthcare setting or medical staff/credentialing office.
Solid discretion, judgment and emotional maturity in interacting with and leading others.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple duties and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven competencies in medical staff software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree, preferred.
