The Medical Staff Coordinator maintains staff services and credentialing/privileging, obtains necessary information to cmplete appointment and reapointment processes, amintains accurate files credentiality with regard to verification docujentaiton, demographics, committee attendance, National Practitioner Data Bank, malpractice insurance and state medical licensure/certificaiton. In addition, the position supports medical staff committees, as required and maintains medical staff bylaws, rules/regs and policies.
CPCS certification preferred.
High School Graduate or equivalent
1 - 3 years office experience, with knowledge of telephone, computer, fax and copier machines is preferred.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
Computer literacy is a must. Proficient in Microsoft Office produtcts.
