Springwoods Behavioral Health is an affiliated 80-bed acute care behavioral health facility located in Northwest Arkansas and has been providing quality health care to the residents Northwest Arkansas since 2009. The hospital provides 24-hour acute care behavioral health services.
Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented Executive Assistant/Medical Credentialing Specialist.
This position is responsible for processing for medical staff privileges/credentialing, preparing reports and correspondence and maintaining files; and facilitates and ensures good communication among all of the hospital departments and staff. This position will use discretion and independent judgment to perform general clerical and administrative duties of the CEO, Medical Directors, Department Directors and staff.

Interpersonal Relations: As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct effect on the hospital's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, affiliate schools, guests, visitors, volunteer workers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with hospital standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.
Must have knowledge and experience in medical staff credentialing
Should be knowledgeable in all phases of office and medical staff procedures.
Knowledge of all credentialing procedures, credentialing policies & procedures, and all associated job functions.
Ability to type and be proficient with computers, using standard office software and specialized database management. Knowledge of office equipment to assist with routine office assignments.
Excellent communication skills are required to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise manner with employees, physicians, administration, the medical staff, and the public.
Ability to handle multiple projects and complete assignments in a timely fashion under frequent/numerous deadlines.
Must have comprehension of all departmental functions and applications in order to assist when needed.
Ability to prioritize workload independently.
Skill sets to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions from a variety of healthcare professionals.
Ability to work in behavioral health environment and observe the standards of care needed for patients.
