The Medical Staff Coordinator will be responsible for credentialing medical staff initial, reappointment and locum tenens applications. Coordinates temporary provider staffing (locum tenens) by sourcing, recruiting and assigning locums providers to temporary positions at WPHD. Responsible for providing meeting management services to the Medical Staff and serves as an essential link and resource between Medical Staff Services Manager and Chief Medical Officer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Must have verbal and analytical skills preferably acquired through the completion of an Associate’s Degree program, or through a combination of education and relevant work experience.
EXPERIENCE Must have a good working knowledge of business office functions. Must have excellent spelling, grammar, and writing skills as well as keyboarding skills. Must have experience with computers, relevant software, and Microsoft Office products.
SKILLS Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent listening skills. Must be well-organized and able to plan work well and manage time efficiently. Must be tactful and diplomatic and able to cope with last minute changes and stressful situations. Must maintain confidentiality at all times and be acutely accurate when carrying out all tasks. Must be able to proof read and check documents for errors and completeness. Must be able to use keyboard to enter, retrieve and transform data.
