Providence is calling a Medical Staff Coordinator/Provider Credentialing Specialist to work at both our central Portland location a couple days/wk and our Newberg location 3 days/wk. This position is responsible for not only coordinating with all professional staff with regards to meeting minutes, creating agendas, etc., but also assists with the credentialing and re-credentialing of providers employed with Providence throughout our 8 hospitals in the Oregon Region. This position does work a Monday - Friday schedule, 8 hours/day with fairly flexible start and end times. Ideal candidates will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, strong MS Office experience and extremely self-motivated.
In this position, you will:
- Coordinate all professional staff activities
- Act as a liaison to professional staff, nursing and administration with the parameters established by the director.
- Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept, caring and respect.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of college or business school coursework
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Access and Outlook applications
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 3 years of experience as medical staff credentialing specialist or coordinator
- Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM), Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
