Christiana Care Health System is hiring a Certified Credentialing Specialist to join their dynamic Medical, and Dental Staff Department.
You will ensure compliance with Christiana Care policies and procedures.
You will make sure that all Medical-Dental Staff Bylaws, policies and procedures are followed.
You will ensure the department is compliant with State and Federal requirements.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards; and assisting with coordination and development of rules and specialty criteria for assigned medical-dental staff departments.
Facilitate accurately and timely the credentialing/privileging process for assigned departments during initial appointment and re-appointment.
Assemble information thoroughly to identify potential quality of care issues, behavioral problems, appropriate education and training and monitoring activities of health care providers granted staff membership and/or patient care privileges.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of ECHO software or a similar credential software package, managed care experience and NCQA experience, knowledge of Primary source verification, joint commission and by law
High school Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience in medical or dental staff credentialing.
CPCS and/or CPMSM certification preferred.
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
Great customer services skills.
Professional and social maturity and great analytical skills.
