Lexington Medical Center is seeking an experienced Medical Staff Manager to work Full-Time Monday through Friday core hours. Please see below for details.
Responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and maintaining Medical Staff Office operations in compliance with licensing, regulating and accrediting authorities. Assists in development, planning, and operational management of the Medical Staff and Affiliated Professional Staff credentialing/privilege delineation/reappointment program to ensure the program's integrity.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution/program or other equivalent education in business, medical staff office procedures or related field.
Previous clinical experience or demonstration of deep understanding of medical terminology and processes.
CPMSM Certification (Certified Professional Medical Staff Management) or to become certified within one year hire into role and maintain with required CEs thereafter.
5 years experience directly involved with the management and coordination of Medical Staff Office Operations.
Effective professional business written and verbal communication skills
Technical knowledge of automated support system and office software.
Demonstrated leadership and self-motivation.
Masters level Post Bachelors degree (preferably in Health Care Administration or related field). Significant work experience (>15 years) in the Medical Staff Office.
