The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for timely processing of initial medical staff applications and reappointment applications for completeness and in accordance with applicable accreditation standards. Obtains primary source verifications in accordance with established regulations and bylaws, including peer competency references. Must demonstrates self-motivation, analytical and organization skills; Ability to initiate inquiries and follow-up request with minimal supervision; Maintain a sound working knowledge of credentialing. Maintain accurate, complete and timely information in the ECHO credentialing database.
Education and Training Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years credentialing experience required
Associates Degree preferred.
NAMSS Certification preferred but will accept experience in lieu of degree/certificaton
ECHO software experience preferred or other credentialing software experience
