Position Summary: This individual is responsible for providing support in the credentialing process of all physicians and health care affiliates for privileges with MultiCare Health System hospitals, MultiCare Medical Group and Managed Care, and for coordinating and facilitating activities and special projects for the Medical Staff Organization, under the authority of the President of Medical Staff and the Vice President of Medical Affairs. He/she is also responsible for performing executive secretarial services and the day-to-day business of the medical staff.
Five years' secretarial experience, three years’ experience in Medical Staff Support services or related medical staff setting.
Previous credentialing experience preferred.
Business school or college course work preferred.
Certified as a Medical Staff Coordinator or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services; or agrees to challenge and has demonstrated the ability to pass the next Medical Staff Coordinator Certification/ CPCS examination.
