Harbor Medical Associates is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator for a busy multi-specialty physician group. In this role, the Credentialing Coordinator's primary role is to ensure all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for all medical providers who provide care at Harbor Medical Associates are met. In addition, the candidate is responsible for ensuring providers are credentialed, appointed and privileged with health plans, hospitals, patient care facilities. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle and Billing.
Associate's degree and certification preferred.
A minimum of 2 years credentialing experience in a hospital or private physician practice setting is ideal
Must possess strong organizational skills, good customer service skills and be proficient in a variety of applications to perform the job duties.
Ensures interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing.
Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications.
Primary goal is to ensure healthcare professionals and services meet all established federal and state standards, as well as NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.
